1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of this website and the provision of speech and language therapy services by Keena Cummins, Speech and Language Therapist, Director of VERVE Child Interaction.
By using this website or engaging therapy services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
2. Therapy Services
By attending therapy sessions, you confirm that you consent to receiving speech and language therapy services under these Terms.
Therapy services are delivered in accordance with professional standards set by:
The Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
The Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT)
The Association of Speech and Language Therapists in Independent Practice (ASLTIP)
3. Information Sharing & Confidentiality
In order to provide effective and coordinated care, it is considered best practice to share relevant information with appropriate professionals involved in your child’s care (for example: school staff, NHS speech and language therapists, doctors or other relevant professionals).
Information will only be shared:
With your consent; or
Where required or permitted by law (for example safeguarding obligations).
Confidential information will not be disclosed to third parties unless legally required.
4. Electronic Communication
Where you choose to communicate via email or other electronic means, you acknowledge that while reasonable steps are taken to ensure security, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.
Reports and summaries sent electronically will be password protected.
5. Video Recording
Where videos are taken during sessions:
They are recorded on encrypted, password-protected devices.
Transferred within 8 hours to an encrypted, password-protected hard drive.
Stored as part of your child’s clinical record.
Not shared with any third party without your explicit consent unless required by law.
Videos may be deleted at your request, subject to professional and legal record-keeping obligations.
6. Termination of Services
Either the family or the therapist may end therapy services at any time.
Outstanding fees for services already provided remain payable.
7. Website Use
The content of this website is provided for general information only and does not constitute medical advice.
All intellectual property rights in the website content are owned by or licensed to VERVE Child Interaction.
